In receiving Direct Payments you may opt to employ a Personal Assistant to support you. Our Payroll service supports Direct Payment recipients and small businesses to meet their legal obligations relating to paying employees. Anyone in the UK who has one or more employees can use this service.

Payroll Services
WECIL can fully manage Payroll for ease, peace of mind and to give you more time to do things that matter to you. You can use your Direct Payment towards the costs of our Payroll services.
WECIL’s Payroll service can also deal with all other Payroll matters including: starters, leavers, holiday pay, student loans, sick pay, pension enrolment, End of Year Returns for HMRC and P60s for your employees.

Payroll set up
Registering you as an employer with HMRC.
Declaration of Compliance
Undertake a mandatory assessment with The Pension Regulator to see if your employees are eligible for auto-enrolment into a pension scheme.
Managing Payroll
Calculating your employees’ wages, tax, National Insurance contributions, sick pay, maternity or paternity pay and annual leave allowance. We produce payslips for your Personal Assistants and can make payments to your employees on your behalf.
Christmas Payroll
WECIL will be closed for Christmas from Friday 22nd December 2023 at 2 pm and will re-open on Tuesday 2nd January 2024. Arrangements for submission of timesheets this Christmas are as follows…
Cycle 1 (18th – 17th)
Your timesheets for November/December (ending 17th Dec) must reach us by Thursday 14th December by 12noon. We cannot guarantee that timesheets received after this date will be processed until after the Christmas period. For OBO clients wages will be in your employees bank accounts on Friday 22nd December 2023.
Cycle 2 (1st – 31st)
Your timesheets for December must reach us by Tuesday 2nd January. For OBO clients wages will be in your employees bank accounts on Tuesday 9th January 2024.
Cycle 3 (10th – 9th)
Your timesheets should be submitted as usual and will not be affected by the Christmas break.
Timesheet deadlines
Please note that for all other months the following deadlines apply, if timesheets are submitted late they may not be processed until the following month.
- Cycle 1 Submit timesheets by 5pm on 19th of the month
- Cycle 2 Submit timesheets by 5pm on 2nd of the following month
- Cycle 3 Submit timesheets by 5pm on 11th of the month.
