WorkWell West is a unique support programme dedicated to helping Disabled people including people with long-term health conditions overcome employment barriers, whether they are returning to work, staying employed, or seeking new opportunities. Focused on the areas of Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset, the initiative takes a holistic approach to bridge the gap between health and employment support.

WorkWell West is a collaboration between:

Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (BNSSG ICB)

As part of the NHS, the ICB provides healthcare insights and resources to support participants’ physical and mental wellbeing, ensuring their health needs are addressed in tandem with their employment journey.

  • Bristol City Council
  • South Gloucestershire Council
  • North Somerset Council

Together, these councils contribute local expertise, community resources, and governance, ensuring the service is tailored to regional needs.

West of England Combined Authority (WECA)

A critical partner in economic development and regional planning, WECA ensures the programme aligns with wider strategies for employment growth, inclusivity, and skill development.
