Role: Bristol Befriending Coordinator
Contract: Permanent contract
Location: The Vassall Centre and in the community
Salary: £16,449 - £18,160 (based on full-time salary of £27,415 - £30,267) per annum, starting at the beginning of the scale (2025 pay review pending)
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Bristol Befriending Coordinator to become part of our committed team, supporting Disabled children and young people. In this fulfilling role, you will lead the coordination of our Befriending service in Bristol.
The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and empathy to the role, paired with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by Disabled young people and their families. If you are dedicated to making a meaningful impact and fostering inclusive opportunities, we’d love to hear from you!

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic B&NES Coordinator to join our dedicated team, supporting Disabled children and young people. In this rewarding role, you will oversee the befriending service and play and youth groups we run across Bath and North East Somerset. The ideal candidate will be energetic, fun, and compassionate, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by Disabled young people and their families. South Glos Support Worker

Volunteering roles
Volunteering at WECIL is a great opportunity to gain new skills, learn about what we do and contribute positively to the lives of Disabled people. We will pay for any out-of-pocket expenses.
We are looking for Adults aged 18+ to volunteer 2-3 hours a week to support a Disabled Child or Young Person across Bristol and B&NEs.
Time2Share@WECIL’s Befriending Service links volunteers 1:1 with a Disabled child/young person. Links are based on shared interests and activities which the volunteer and young person can enjoy doing together.
Our volunteers come from a wide range of backgrounds and ages, you do not need previous experience working with children or Disabled people to become a befriender – you just need to be committed, reliable and fun!

We are looking for adults with a Learning Disability and Autism to join our peer advocate volunteer group called Know Your Rights.
Peer advocates support people with similar experiences to have a voice on the things that matter to them. This could be things like getting a job, finding a place to live, looking after your health and much more.
You will learn new skills, have training, meet new people, share your experiences and help others to share theirs and speak out on issues to try to make a difference.
