We Are The People, a small research team of Disabled academics and non-disabled allies engaged in disability research and disability activism, are inviting Disabled people from global majority backgrounds (Black and racialised groups) to take part in an exciting and meaningful research project. This initiative seeks to build community, explore decolonial practices, and utilise disability justice principles to guide its work.
The research will centre around art and creative writing, offering a unique and enriching space for participants to contribute to shaping conversations and ideas around these important themes. Participants will engage in a series of three weekly workshops, each lasting two hours, during late January and February 2024.

Who can take part?
Disabled people from global majority backgrounds (Black or racialised groups) who are interested in art, creative writing, and building a supportive, justice-oriented community.
Workshop Schedule:
A series of three weekly workshops, each two hours long.
Compensation:
Participants will receive a £40 voucher of their choice for each session, totalling £120 for six hours of participation.
This initiative, supported by We Are The People at Bath Spa University, aims to centre voices and experiences from the global majority, fostering community and justice-led conversations in creative and empowering ways.
